Chaotic Storage

What does Chaotic Storage mean?

Chaotic storage is a dynamic form of warehousing in which goods are always stored where there is space. In this way, the storage space is used as efficiently as possible, which in turn leads to faster processing.

The aim is to distribute the storage locations in such a way that the goods can be put away as quickly as possible in order to optimise the processes. Every new item and goods withdrawal are systematically recorded by software. Accordingly, a loss of data in this dynamic form of warehousing would pose a great danger.

For the chaotic storage to work, however, more is needed than just a sophisticated software solution. Both the goods and the storage locations must be systematically marked. Moreover, the location of the individual items must also be recorded.
