What is Warehouse Management?

Warehouse management is described as the control of the day-to-day warehouse operations. The operations consist of shipping, receiving, putting-away and picking of goods. In essence, warehouse management is the interface between goods receipt and goods issue

Generally, warehouse management helps to organise space, manage inventory, improve warehouse performance, employ suitable warehouse logistics, make the movement of goods easier, etc. As a result, it ensures that all warehouse processes run as smoothly and cost-effectively as possible, including the registration of all changes in warehouse stock.

On the software side, warehouse management is usually carried out with the help of a warehouse management system. This is a system that manages the various relationships between stocks, such as batch, article, assortment or storage location.
