Kanban

What is Kanban?

Kanban is a Japanese method of production process control that is based exclusively on the actual material consumption at the point of supply and consumption. In this way, Kanban enables a reduction of local stocks and preliminary products.

The goal of Kanban as a method is to control the value chain at each production stage in a cost-optimised way. Kanban not only quickly creates a high level of transparency but also leads to shorter throughput times. When introduced, the method leads to less resistance than other comparable methods.
