What is the meaning of IATA?

International Air Transport Association is an association of airline traders around the world promoting cooperation in ensuring the safety, the security and the reliability of air services.

In addition, a standardised practice is established through the cooperation of the airliners for efficient air transportation services. IATA was founded in 1945. As at 2019, it consists of 290 airlines from 117 countries.
