Saloodo! awarded with the „BME seal of approval“ again

The digital freight platform Saloodo! has again been awarded the BME seal of approval „Marketplace Freight“ as an innovative transport exchange. In 2017 Saloodo! was the first freight exchange of the new generation to be launched by BMEnet GmbH, a subsidiary of the Bundesverband Materialwirtschaft, Einkauf und Logistik e.V. (BME). At Saloodo!, all transport offers are transparently displayed, thus promoting the comparison of different providers. In addition, the entire transport process is digitalised – from the placement of the transport request to invoicing and archiving.

After BMEnet GmbH, the company responsible for the seal of approval, awarded Saloodo! two years ago as the first freight exchange with a completely digital end-to-end solution for the entire transport process, the freight platform was now checked again using an objective and standardised catalogue of criteria. This had become necessary because the current version of Saloodo! has very little in common with the version that was tested at the time. The reason for this is the continuous development of the platform so that Saloodo! customers can always process their orders using the latest technology.

The result of the intensive examination: „Shippers receive quick offers from quality-tested transport companies and, before binding booking, a price indication for their shipment based on market data and artificial intelligence. In plain language: If shippers are looking for an efficient, digital logistics solution for their shipments, they will find a quality-tested and market-transparent provider in Saloodo!

The BMEnet GmbH seal of approval is awarded to integrative software and platform solutions for the optimization of purchasing and logistics. The test is based on standardised and neutral criteria catalogues with clearly defined requirements. Against this background, the market is made more transparent when selecting software systems. Users receive the security of procuring software with tested quality standards. Conversely, the award-winning suppliers can provide their customers with valid proof of the quality of their products.
