Transport Logistic 2017: Saloodo! presents new functionalities and improvements of the digital freight platform

  • Machine learning of Pricing Algorithm
  • Transparent Pallet Exchange System
  • Marcel Frings supports the start-up as Chief Commercial Officer

The digital freight market place Saloodo! will attend for the first time at the transport logistic fair in Munich, from the 9th to 12th of May 2017. In Hall A4, Stand 214, Saloodo!’s management team will be there to discuss with customers how they can benefit from new functionalities and how to monetize by registering on the platform. Visitors can look forward to new developments resulted from close contact with users.

Predictions using Machine Learning

A particularly attractive feature is the new algorithm that is able to predict seasonal fluctuations and to identify imbalances on specific routes. The pricing algorithm will allow shippers to receive a reliable price indication for their shipments and to indicate transport providers the current market situation that eases the process of quoting for loads. This way, shippers and transport providers can tailor their offers based on the current price level.

Pallet Exchange System – Time and Cost Advantages

An additional new development introduces a solution that will save time and unnecessary costs for shippers and carriers. What Saloodo! offers is a new pallet exchange system where the driver can document with the app, on-site, which pallet movement has been completed during loading and delivery points of the shipment, as well as document the pallet exchange via app.
Beside the pallet exchange function, the driver-app also contains an improved scanner with a better auto-focus that allows documents, such as delivery notes, to be recorded and easily transferred, therefore enhancing quality and speeding up the documentation process.
